It’s good to be back.
For those of you who thought I might have lost my mind a little with 2005’s abstract and experimental A Million Stories, I am now careening back into the world of pop songs with Leaving the Land of Before. Okay, maybe not POP pop songs, but fairly accessible stuff. You can sometimes tap your foot to it. There’s some lyrics. You can even sing along. I will warn, though, that they’re not particularly happy songs.
The official release date is Friday, August 24, 2018 but you can hear a sneak preview of the songs below. If little plastic discs are more your thing, you can order the CD on this website.
